Aquarium of the Pacific–Whale Watching–Battleship Iowa (Admission Included)
Our pleasant day begins in the morning when we head to the Aquarium of the Pacific. 4th largest of its kind, the Aquarium covers an area of 5 acres and features over 12000 marine life in 500 different species. The Pacific Ocean is the focus of three major permanent galleries, sunny Southern California and Baja, the frigid waters of the Northern Pacific and the colorful reefs of the Tropical Pacific. Walk through the undersea tunnel and enjoy seeing all the marine life, from fierce sharks, to colorful coral reefs and tropical fish, and bizarre jellies, the Aquarium has it all. Board the whale watching boat at noon, and the voyage takes 2.5 hours. The warm Southern California ocean water lures whales, blue whales, grey whales, humpback whales are seen year round. You may even discover a group of orcas (killer whale)! Friendly Capitan switches off the engine when the boat reaches the region where whales are spotted, the world goes quiet, you are soon surrounded by nothing but sound of ocean waves and gulls, blue sky and sea. After the boat tour, we are headed to Battleship Iowa. Iowa is the last lead ship of any class of United States battleships and was the only ship of her class to have served in the Atlantic Ocean during World War II. During World War II, she carried President Franklin D. Roosevelt across the Atlantic Algeria, en route to a crucial meeting with Prime Minister Winston Churchill of Britain and Josef Stalin, leader of the Soviet Union. Iowa is known for her supreme fire power, with turrets can carry 2,000 tons of ammunition, and fire projectiles as far away as 24 miles, over the horizon. At 5pm, we finish our wonderful day trip.
Greater Los Angeles with an area of 5.35 times the size of Beijing, due to the subway, bus and other transport are inconvenient, every morning in Los Angeles to pick-up travelers need to complete multiple connection points (an average of 2-3 locations per bus). We ask the tour guide to pick up 15 minutes in advance to reach the pick-up point. If we are late arrivals due to the weather, traffic jam, we hope your understanding.
