12:30 Senso-ji Temple & Nakamise Shopping Street (45 min)
Senso-ji, Tokyo’s oldest temple, offers plenty to see including the bright red Kaminarimon Gate, a statue of the god of thunder, and a five-story pagoda. The bustling street known as “Nakamise” stretches for about 250 m from Kaminarimon Gate to Senso-ji Temple and is filled with a plethora of shops.

Matcha Green Tea Experience at Jomyo-ji Temple (40 min)
Enjoy some of Japan’s famous powdered matcha green tea and confectionery in the highly refined and tranquil atmosphere of a tearoom constructed over 400 years ago, and enjoy the view of the temple’s Japanese rock garden.
Hokoku-ji Temple (30 min)
Walk through the grounds of Hokoku-ji Temple, known as the bamboo temple for its beautiful bamboo grove.
Kotoku-in Temple and the Great Buddha (30 min)
Visit Kotoku-in Temple which houses a towering, 13-meter-tall Buddha statue known as one of the three Great Buddha statues in Japan.

Enoshima Sightseeing (75 min)
Visit Enoshima, a getaway island popular year-round for its cool ocean breezes.
Cross over the 600-meter bridge that connects the island of Enoshima with the mainland and walk along Benzaiten Nakamise Street which is lined with intriguing shops bustling with customers.
Afterward, take the Enoshima Escar which will whisk you easily up to Enoshima Shrine. Enjoy the beautiful ocean views from Enoshima Shrine.

Tokyo – Mt. Fuji – Hakone

07:35 – 09:00 Pick-up Service

Mt. Fuji 5th Station (30 min)
The bus will head up to the 5th Station along the Subaru Line.
The 5th Station is situated at 2,300 meters (7,546 ft) above sea level. At this height, participants will be amazed at spectacular, breathtaking views from above the clouds.
Lunch (50 min)
Lake Ashi Cruise (15 min)
This crater lake along the southwest wall of the caldera of Mt. Hakone was formed by a powerful volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago, and provides postcard views of Mt. Fuji towering 30 km northwest. Admire the superb view of Mt. Fuji from aboard a ship.
*The tour may be guided to another ropeway or an alternative destination if the Lake Ashi cruise operation is suspended, or depending on road conditions, etc.
Komagatake Ropeway (50 min)
Take a 7-minute ropeway ride to the peak of Mt. Komagatake. A total of 50 minutes will be spent here, including time to walk around at the peak. Take a cableway ride up to the spiritual Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya (original shrine) that nestles at the mountaintop.
*The tour may be guided to another ropeway or an alternative destination if the Komagatake ropeway operation is suspended, or depending on road conditions, etc.
Hakone-en
The English-speaking interpreter guide service ends at Hakone-en. Go to the hotel on foot, via bus, or via taxi.

Head to Nagoya via Shinkansen (Hikari or Kodama)

The guide will meet participants at Nagoya Station. Board the JR Limited Express train to Takayama.

Sightseeing around Takayama City on foot.
Yatai Kaikan (Takayama Festival Floats Exhibition Hall) (30 min)
This popular facility displays some of the colorfully decorated festival floats used in the famous Takayama Festival. Enjoy seeing the many intricately made floats.
Kusakabe Heritage House (20 min)
Enjoy a visit to this historical Japanese-style townhouse and view a range of exquisite folk art and traditional handicrafts.
Kami-Sannomachi (30 min)
Located in Takayama’s old quarter, this street is lined with Edo period buildings, and provides visitors a glimpse into the past.

Takayama – Shirakawago – Kanazawa

Shirakawago Observatory (15 min)
Enjoy an elevated view of the World Heritage-registered thatch-roofed village of Shirakawago. Great for photography!
Lunch at a Thatched Roof House (45 min)
Taste delicious regional cuisine dishes you can only enjoy in the countryside.
Wada Residence (traditional thatch-roofed farmhouse) (60 min)
This is one of the thatch-roofed houses, also registered as a World Heritage Site. Look around and be fascinated by the culture and history of the village.
Shirakawago to Kanazawa (Drive-by sightseeing of Miboro Dam)
On the way from Shirakawago to Kanazawa, enjoy seeing rural Japanese scenery such as the manmade Miboro Dam and the Hakusan Mountains. Enjoy sightseeing from the vehicle windows.

Kenrokuen Garden (60 min)
This beautiful garden is considered one of the top three Japanese gardens.
It offers amazing seasonal views all year round.
Higashi Chaya–gai (40 min)
Wooden-latticed exteriors of teahouses line both sides of the stone-paved street here where something from the Edo period (1603-1868) still lingers in the air. This area is an Important Traditional Building Preservation District.
Hakuza Honten (30 min)
Feel free to purchase handicrafts, accessories, cosmetics and other items made with gold leaf.
12:40 – 14:00 Kanazawa Station
Eat lunch on your own after arrival at Kanazawa Station.
Kanazawa Station to Kyoto Station (145 min)
Take the JR limited express train to Kyoto Station. There is no accompanying interpreter guide while onboard the Shinkansen.
16:30 – 17:10 Drop-off Service
An English-speaking tour conductor will meet participants at Kyoto Station.
A drop-off service by taxi to major hotels in Kyoto city is available.

Kyoto

All transportation on this tour is by bus. Please be at the meeting location at least 10 minutes before departure.
Enter Nijo Castle (50 min)
A World Heritage site. Tour the historical castle completed in 1626, which was built to provide lodging for Tokugawa Shogun and as a palladium for Kyoto Imperial Palace. The impressive, elaborate carvings and decors in the Ninomaru Palace are a must-see.
Visit Kinkaku-ji Temple (45 min)
A World Heritage site. The wooden architecture is covered in thin layers of pure gold and is surrounded by a beautiful pond.
[Except Mondays] Kyoto Imperial Palace (40 min)
See the Kyoto Imperial Palace, which was used as the Emperor’s residence until about 150 years ago.
[Mondays (and Tuesdays when Monday is a national holiday)] Kitano Tenmangu Shrine (40 min)
On Mondays (and Tuesdays if a national holiday falls on the preceding Monday), this tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead of the Kyoto Imperial Palace. It is famous for housing the God of scholarship. This shrine’s main hall is a designated national treasure. The shrine is especially great to see during the plum blossom and autumn leaf seasons.

Heian Shrine (25 min)
Don’t miss the characteristic red architecture of this beautiful shrine built to celebrate the 1100 year anniversary of the founding of the city of Kyoto.
Sanjusangen-do Temple (30 min)
Visit the world’s longest wooden structure, housing 1,001 life-size statues of Buddhist Kannon deities dating back to the 13th century.
Visit Kiyomizu-dera Temple (70 min)
The view of Kyoto from the World Heritage Site Kiyomizu-dera is superb. The historic shopping lane that leads to the temple adds to a wonderful experience.
17:30 – 18:30 Drop-off Service
From Kiyomizu-dera Temple, participants will be dropped off at Kyoto Station, then to hotels. Stay at Hotel in Kyoto City

[Japan Combination Package]

1. This tour is a combination package made up from multiple Sunrise Tours plans.

2. An English-speaking interpreter guide or English-speaking assistant will accompany each tour from the meeting point until the tour end. Furthermore, please note that the interpreter guide or assistant is generally different for each tour.

3. Customers with late-night arrivals or departures at Kansai International Airport may need to wait at the airport for several hours as the shared taxi service will be unavailable.

4. This is a special tour for international visitors. Please understand that residents of Japan cannot make bookings for this tour.

5. Airport pick-up & drop-off is available at Haneda Airport or Itami Airport. In such cases, please inform us when booking.

6. If the minimum number of participants is not met by 20 days prior to the tour date, the tour may be cancelled.

Remarks:

[Edo Tokyo Tour (Day 2)]
1. Admission to the Tokyo Skytree® Tembo Deck is not included in the tour booking charge. Before entering, please pay a separate charge of JPY 2,060 for each person age 18 and older, JPY 1,540 for each person age 12~17, JPY 930 for each person age 6~11, and JPY 620 for each person age 4~5.
2. On Wednesdays, Sundays, and other days when Tsukiji Outer Market is closed, an alternate destination of Hamarikyu Gardens, Imperial Palace East Gardens, Imperial Palace Plaza Nijubashi Bridge, etc. may be visited instead. Also, this tour will not enter the Tsukiji Inner Market nor be guided to the tuna auctions.

[Kamakura Tour (Day 3)]
1. Lunch will be a Japanese-style meal. Subject to change depending on the facility’s circumstances or stocks available on the day.
Vegetarian meals are available and must be requested at the time of booking. Requests made on the day of the tour will not be accepted.
Also, allergy-friendly meals, etc. are not available.
2. Buddhist vegetarian cuisine is vegetarian food prepared with ingredients such as vegetables, beans, etc. Therefore, other vegetarian menus are not available on this tour. However, in the case that lunch is changed to a Japanese-style set meal, customers who made a vegetarian meal request when booking will be provided with a vegetarian meal.
3. Allergy-friendly meals, etc. are not available.
4. Locations indicated on the itinerary may be changed due to closed days, inclement weather, events, or traffic conditions. However, the tour will not be cancelled or refunded even in such cases. The following are possible substitutes: Hase Temple, Engaku-ji Temple, Kencho-ji Temple, Kamakuragu Treasure Hall, or Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine.
5. The order of the itinerary is subject to change depending on operation circumstances of locations to be visited, road conditions, and weather conditions.
6. If the number of participants exceeds 15, earphone guides may be used for the guide’s explanations.
A fee of JPY 10,000 may be incurred if an earphone guide is lost or damaged by a participant.
7. The Escar will be taken up at Enoshima, but customers will be taking the stairs back down. For those who have difficulty walking, please wait at the Benzaiten Nakamise Street. Please note that refunds will not be issued for such reasons. Thank you for your understanding.
[Mt. Fuji & Hakone Tour (Day 4)]

[Mt. Fuji & Hakone Tour (Day 4)]
1. Hakone Komagatake Ropeway may be omitted due to heavy traffic. The tour will not be cancelled and refunds will not be issued for this reason.
2. If the Fuji Subaru Line to Mt. Fuji’s 5th station is blocked due to road surface freezing or accidents, the tour will be taken to the highest elevation point possible. No alternative destinations are planned when the tour reaches beyond the 1st station.
When the tour has to turn back at the 1st station, or when the Fuji Subaru Line is completely blocked, the tour will visit Fuji Visitor Center or Lake Kawaguchi. Please note that an alternative itinerary may also be omitted depending on road conditions.
3. Due to weather conditions, Mt. Fuji may not be visible even from the base. However, the tour will not be cancelled and refunds will not be given for this reason.
4. Mt. Fuji’s 5th station is typically 10 to 15 degrees Celsius colder than Tokyo. On tours from autumn to spring, please bring a coat and other warm clothing.
5. If the Lake Ashi Cruise or Komagatake Ropeway are not running due to inclement weather or maintenance, or as a result of events, road or organization circumstances, they may be omitted and replaced with one or more of the following. This will not be used as a reason to cancel the tour, and refunds will not be given for this reason. Hakone-en Aquarium, Hakone Ropeway, Owakudani Valley, Hakone Pirate Ship, Narukawa Art Museum, Hakone Checkpoint, Lake Kawaguchi Cruise, Mt. Kachi Kachi Ropeway, Itchiku Kubota Art Museum, Hakone Shrine, etc.
6. Please note that the tour will not be guided to the seasonal sightseeing spots if the cherry blossoms are not at their best viewing time, or if the tour cannot proceed to Komagatake Ropeway due to road or organization circumstances.
7. GPS-enabled audio guides are available on this tour in Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Thai, French, and Indonesian. If required, please request at the time of booking. Requests made on the day of the tour will not be accepted.
8. The annual Mt. Fuji Hill Climb will be held on a weekend in June (schedule for 2018 is yet to be determined). Please be aware that the itinerary order and destinations to be visited are subject to change. Furthermore, please note that refunds will not be issued in this case, and customers will not be notified separately when the schedule has been determined.
[Takayama & Kanazawa Tour (Day 5-7)]

1. There is no time allotted for lunch on Day 1 of the Takayama & Kanazawa itinerary. Participants will eat lunch on board the train, so purchasing something to eat before departure is recommended.
2. If sightseeing facilities at Takayama or Kanazawa are closed, the tour will be taken to alternative destinations.
3. Please understand that there is no vegetarian option available for lunch at Shirakawago on Day 6.
[1-Day Kyoto Tour (Day 8)]

1. The Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed on the following days. As such, the tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead.
(Mondays, Tuesday if Monday is a national holiday, May 14-17 for the Aoi Festival, New Year’s holidays, and whenever there is an Imperial Household event).
2. The tour will visit Nishi Hongan-ji Temple instead of Kitano Tenmangu Shrine on June 25, Sept. 25 and Dec. 25.
3. Nijo Castle is closed on Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December (Closed on the following day if Tuesday is a holiday.) If closed, or if the tour is during the year-end/New Year’s holidays, Ryoan-ji Temple will be visited instead.
4. During the Gion Festival (Sakimatsuri, July 15 – 16), drop-off service to Karasuma Kyoto Hotel and Hotel Nikko Princess Kyoto will be unavailable due to traffic restrictions.
5. Connections from this tour can be made to the “Kyoto Maiko Dinner” and “Kyoto Night Tour”. Connections are generally made at Kyoto Hotel Okura.
6. This tour will not enter Heian Shrine’s Shin-en garden.
7. During the Jidai Festival on October 22, Heian Shrine is closed to the public and will be replaced in the itinerary by Chishaku-in Temple.
If the Jidai Festival is postponed, the itinerary change will also be postponed to the festival date.
8. Please note that due to repair and restoration work, part or all of the Kiyomizu-dera Temple Main Hall will not be visible.
